3. Text Display
These
options determine how and if any text is displayed above the
character as they deliver their fortunes.
Display word balloon
By
default, MagikFortune is configured to display the fortune in text as
your character speaks it, however you can also turn off the text
display completely by turning off this option. Doing so disables all
other text display options since they are only applicable when text
is being displayed.
Auto hide
This
option toggles whether the text will automatically disappear after
the fortune has been finished or whether it remains on screen
indefinitely. By default MagikFortune is configured to auto hide the
fortune.
Auto pace
This
option dictates whether the text display should keep pace with the
spoken delivery of the fortune. By default MagikFortune makes the
text keep pace with the speech.
Size to text

to text” option sets whether window in which the text is
displayed is fixed or sized to fit the actual size of the fortune.
By default this option is turn on.
4. Miscellaneous
This
section contains a number of important options about MagikFortune,
which do not belong in any particular section.

The option
controls the first action MagikFortune takes when the application is
run. If “Tell Fortune on Startup” is selected
then you character will immediately appear and deliver a fortune. If
it is not selected, MagikFortune will immediately start off in
“hidden” mode and the only visible change you will see is
a small icon appear in your system tray on the bottom right hand
corner of the screen. In order to bring MagikFortune to the
foreground again when it is hidden in the system tray, simply click
the icon (if you are using the default character Peedy it will be an
icon of a Parrot's head) and your character will immediately appear.
By default MagikFortune is configured to deliver fortunes to startup.
Play Sound Effects
This
option controls whether background sound effects will be played in
addition to the spoken fortunes. Note: turning off this option will
only run off the sound effects, it will not stop the fortunes
themselves from being verbalized. By default sound effects are
turned on.
Periodic Fortunes
By
default, MagikFortune will only give out fortunes on startup or on
request, however you can also configure it to deliver fortunes on
regular intervals. How often these fortunes are delivered can be
configured by this option. The interval between delivery of fortunes
can be anywhere between one minute and five hours.
